Construction is resuming today at the Children's Hospital of Saskatchewan's jobsite after the death of a 21-year-old worker.
The site in Saskatoon was shut down July 21 after the young labourer, Eric Ndayishimiye, died.
Graham Construction spokesman Colin Anderson says the company did a comprehensive safety review and has the support of the Saskatoon Health Region to restart.
Anderson says the return-to-work plan includes elements such as a detailed review of safe work procedures, job hazard assessments, group risk assessments, as well as a reorientation of all site workers.
Graham Construction said at the time that the worker died when a steel construction lift fell on him.
It says since the accident, the type of lift has been taken out of service at this site and at all Graham construction projects.
