Charges have been laid in a stabbing that sent a 25-year-old man to hospital with life-threatening wounds in North Battleford.

RCMP say the stabbing happened in the 1500 block of 104 Street around 2 a.m. Sunday.

The victim was taken to hospital in North Battleford and was later transferred to Saskatoon for surgery. He is expected to make a full recovery.

Police have charged 19-year-old Dylan Paskemin with aggravated assault and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

Paskemin is set to appear in court in North Battleford on Monday morning.
