Exciting news for golf fans in Prince Albert - the new Canadian Pro Golf Tour will make a stop in the city before this year’s Dakota Dunes Open.
"We've got one of the most amazing municipal golf courses in the country," said Jayne Remenda, with Prince Albert Tourism and Marketing. "We put a bid in for the event and were successful, and we're very excited."
The Cooke Municipal golf course in Prince Albert will play host to the event Its a Pro-Am round, meaning anyone can sign up to play with the professional golfers.
"It’s a feather in our cap," said course manager, Darcy Myers. "We know we have a great facility here, and its an honor to have this level of golfers come and play Cooke."
The event takes place July 2nd at Cooke.
