A bomb scare shut down parts of downtown Saskatoon Sunday evening
Police and emergency personnel were taking no chances after a suspicious package was discovered in a vehicle parked not far from police headquarters.
A bomb disposal robot was deployed to remove the package to a safe location but police did not say what the object was or if it was an explosive.
The incident resulted in the closure of Fourth Avenue between 21st Street and 23rd Street for approximately two hours until the all clear was given shortly after 7 p.m.
Police are continuing the investigation.
