Heavily armed police converged on the 800 block of Saskatoon’s Avenue V North Wednesday.
A person who was believed to have a warrant for his arrest was barricaded inside a home on the block, police said in a media release. Tactical officers, with an armoured vehicle, responded to the scene early Wednesday afternoon and a male was taken into custody without incident just after 5 p.m.
Charges against him include dangerous driving and breach of a court order, according to police.
Police are still investigating and traffic restrictions in the area have been lifted.
