Saskatoon—Humboldt loses the northeast area of Saskatoon. To that, a flat oblong is added to the northwest from Saskatoon—Wanuskewin completing Saskatoon-University riding.
Electoral History
Saskatoon-Humboldt became a riding in 1965 and was held by Liberal Otto Lang from 1968-1979, during which it became Saskatoon East. Lang was Minister for the Wheat Board, for Manpower, Justice, Transport.
The seat was held by Bob Ogle, NDP, from 1979 to 1984; Don Ravis, PC 1984-1988; Stan Hobdebo, NDP, 1988-1993.
Liberal Georgette Sheridan won in 1993, but ran third in 1997. Jim Pankiw won for Reform candidate in 1997 and Alliance in 2000 but was dropped from caucus in 2001 for disputing Stockwell Day’s leadership then barred from the party for a mailout attacking Indians for crime. He ran fourth as an Independent in 2004.
Conservative Bradley Trost won and was still MP in 2015.
