A Saskatoon pub’s efforts to catch a thief have paid off.

The owners of Somewhere Else Pub and Grill in the city’s Avalon area posted surveillance video of someone breaking into the bar to Facebook last week, which helped police identify a suspect — a 16-year-old boy known to officers.

The youth is charged with two counts of breaking and entering, six counts of breaching probation, and theft under $5,000. He was arrested in relation to the Somewhere Else break and enter, a break-in at a business on the 2700 block of Faithful Avenue, as well as a theft from a liquor store in Avalon.

More charges are anticipated, police said.
