A 15-year-old shooting victim has been released from hospital while investigators continue searching for suspects. The boy was found with a gunshot wound in Saskatoon's Exhibition neighbourhood and rushed to hospital Thursday afternoon.

Officers responded to a report of an injured person in the 2200 block of St. Charles Avenue shortly after 3 p.m. When they arrived, they found the teen suffering from a gunshot wound. He was sent to hospital for treatment and has since been released.

Police first called the incident a shooting then about an hour later said officers were working to determine the exact cause of the teen’s injury. Police have now officially said the teen was shot.

Police are pursuing various leads including collecting surveillance video from the area, according to a news release.
