A 40-year-old Langham woman and her eight-year-old daughter have been identified as the victims of a fatal head-on collision west of Saskatoon.

The two died when the car they were in collided head-on with a half-ton truck. Their names have not been released.

The crash happened on Highway 14 near Grandora shortly after 9 p.m. Monday.

Police say the driver of the truck was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

RCMP are now investigating the possibility the woman driving the car was using a cellphone at the time of the collision.
