A 21-year-old woman faces theft and impaired driving charges after a stolen vehicle was involved in a collision Thursday night.

Saskatoon police were following a reported stolen vehicle on Avenue N just before 7 p.m. Thursday when the driver of the vehicle went through a stop sign collided with a vehicle travelling west on 20th Street.

Two occupants of the second vehicle, a male and female, both 70 years of age, suffered minor injuries and were taken to hospital by ambulance.

The lone occupant of the stolen vehicle has been charged with theft over $5000, impaired driving, failing to stop for police and other traffic offences. She was scheduled to appear in court Friday morning.
