A woman caught on video yelling racial slurs at a table of strangers at a Saskatoon pub has been banned from the establishment.

The woman, who appears to be intoxicated, is heard hurling racial epithets, including the N-word, in the video, which was recorded by one of the people sitting at the table.

The video was posted to Facebook by a friend of the people at the table and shared thousands of times before it was removed by the social media network’s administrators.

Charlotte Mugerwa says the racial rant escalated over a half hour, according to her friends. She says employees at Winston's Pub should have stepped in quicker.

"Nobody should sit around and ever watch anyone get talked to the way that lady did to my friends," she said.

The pub’s owner says as soon as his staff knew there was a problem, they kicked the woman out. She has since been banned from Winston’s.

Mugerwa says her friends are trying to forget that the incident ever happened.

A similar situation happened in Edmonton last month. An actor was shooting a video downtown when a car full of men shouted racial slurs at him. The video went viral, inspiring the actor and the city to launch a campaign called 'Make It Awkward,' which encourages bystanders to speak out against racism.
