A 56-year-old Saskatoon woman has been charged after a pedestrian was hit by a vehicle at the intersection of Millar Avenue and 47th Street Friday night.

Saskatoon police were called to the incident just after 5 p.m. A 31-year-old woman was walking east across Millar when a vehicle, travelling south on Millar, failed to yield, police stated in a media release.

The pedestrian was transported to hospital with what police believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.

The 56-year-old was charged with failing to yield to a pedestrian.
