RCMP say a high-risk sex offender wanted on a Canada-wide warrant after breaking parole in Alberta has connections in Saskatchewan.

Edmonton police issued a media release Friday morning stating 33-year-old Ashton Natomagan was wanted on a Canada-wide warrant for breaking parole just one day after completing a five-year sentence.

Natomagan was released from Grande Cache Institution in Grande Cache, Alta. on Monday after serving a 61-month sentence for sexual assault causing bodily harm. He broke parole the next day by not reporting to his halfway house, according to Edmonton police.

Mounties in Saskatchewan forwarded the Edmonton media release to Saskatchewan media, stating Natomagan had connections in the province.

“Natomagan is considered by police to be a sexual offender who poses a risk of significant harm to the community,” the release stated.

Natomagan is described as 5’11” and 194 pounds with brown eyes and black hair. He is considered dangerous and should not be approached.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact their local police service or RCMP detachment.
