The University of Saskatchewan is looking into creating a policy on how to handle reports of sexual assault on campus.

Back in 2012, a woman was raped on campus; it took the university more than a month to issue an email warning students. Since then, the university has installed on-campus cameras and created a protocol for informing students.

In an investigative report, only nine of seventy-eight universities surveyed by the Toronto Star had a policy for dealing specifically with sexual assaults on campus.

The U of S has a general non-academic misconduct policy but says they are looking into creating one specifically to deal with reports of sexual assault.
