Two teenaged boys are facing charges after two more schools were vandalized in Saskatoon early Thursday morning.

Shortly after 1 a.m., police were investigating a break-and-enter at Pleasant Hill Elementary School, when they were alerted to a similar incident at King George Elementary School.

Officers surrounded the building and three boys – ages 10, 13 and 15 – were taken into custody as they tried to flee the scene, police said.

Police believe the suspects were involved in a rash of similar incidents, including the break-in at Pleasant Hill Elementary School.

The 13- and 15-year-old boys are in custody facing charges of break and enter and commit theft. It’s believed they are responsible for thousands of dollars in damage.

The 10-year-old boy, who is too young to face criminal charges, was released to his parents.
