Two people are dead after a three-vehicle collision in southern Saskatchewan.

Weyburn RCMP were called to the intersection of Highway 6 and 13, east of Pangman, Sask. shortly after 5 p.m.

Two people died and three were injured in the crash, according to RCMP. The names of the deceased have yet to be released.

Police, paramedics and fire crews were still on scene as of 6:30 p.m.

The southbound lane on Highway 6 was closed following the incident, RCMP said, and traffic would continue to be re-routed for several hours. A northbound lane on Highway 6 remained open as well as both lanes on Highway 13.

Pangman is located 60 kilometres west of Weyburn, Sask.
