A 22-year-old man and 17-year-old boy are facing charges after a break and enter in Saskatoon’s Westmount neighbourhood Wednesday afternoon.

Police were called to a home on the 500 block of Avenue I North around 3:20 p.m. after a report that two individuals were attempting to break into a detached garage.

The suspects had fled the scene by the time officers arrived but a police canine unit tracked to Avenue G and 31st Street, where two individuals matching the suspect descriptions were arrested.

A 22-year-old man was charged with breaking and entering, possessing stolen property under $5,000, mischief and breaching probation.

A 17-year-old was charged with being party to the offence of breaking and entering.

The pair were scheduled to appear in Saskatoon provincial court Thursday.
