A man and woman are facing charges after a Preston Avenue restaurant was robbed at knife-point early Thursday morning.

Saskatoon police were called to the armed robbery on the 2300 block of Preston around 2:45 a.m. A man and woman entered the restaurant and demanded cash before fleeing with both money and alcohol.

Police were informed hours later that the suspects may be in a residence on MacDermid Crescent. Officers attended the home and found two people matching the suspects’ descriptions. They were arrested without incident.

The man in the residence was in possession of a knife and cash, police said.

A 24-year-old man is facing charges of robbery, possession of a weapon dangerous to the public, carrying a concealed weapon and breach of undertaking in relation to the robbery.

A 21-year-old woman is charged with breach of undertaking and being a party to the offence of robbery.
