A 24-year-old Tisdale man is facing armed robbery charges after robbing a store in Saskatoon’s east end Friday night.

Police were called to a business in the 1000 block of Boychuk Drive just before 9:00 p.m., after receiving reports of a man with a handgun. The man left the business with cash and lottery tickets, police said in a media release. Patrol officers and the canine unit were able to track the man to the 500 block of Blackthorn Crescent, where he was arrested without incident and the stolen items were recovered.

No one was injured during the robbery. The man will appear before a Justice of the Peace on Saturday.
