A three-year-old girl is in hospital with life-threatening injuries after she was struck by a vehicle on the Mosquito First Nation.

RCMP were called to the collision Tuesday around 8:30 p.m. at a residential property in the community, located about 30 kilometres south of Battleford, Sask.

The three-year-old was transported to hospital in North Battleford before she was moved to a Saskatoon hospital via STARS air ambulance.

The lone man driving the vehicle was not injured. RCMP said alcohol was not a factor in the collision.

Police have not yet decided whether charges will be laid.
