Thieves were busy in the Martensville early Tuesday morning breaking into cars and looking for valuables.

RCMP said several cars and trucks were broken into, and in addition to the minor thefts, two Ford F-350 trucks were stolen in the area and thieves attempted to steal a third.

In Langham, a black 2006 Ford F-350 was stolen on First Street East. The second truck, a 2006 blue Super Duty, was stolen from First Street in Osler.

RCMP believe the suspects are exploiting a vulnerability with the Ford F-350 and are warning people who own similar trucks to take extra security measures, such as a steering wheel lock, to keep their vehicles safe.

Police said thieves also tried to take Ford Mustang by drilling a hole in the door, but they weren’t able to actually get inside the sports car to steal it.

During the early morning hours of Tuesday thieves were active in Martensville, Langham and Osler. Several vehicles in Martensville were entered and the contents gone through in an attempt to locate valuables.

Anyone with information regarding these thefts is asked to call Warman RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
