Prince Albert police say a 17-year-old boy has died in hospital after a shooting early Monday morning.
Police responded to a report of shots fired in the 500 block of 27th Street East just before 6 a.m.
When they arrived, officers found the shooting victim, who has been identified as 17-year-old Clayton James Bear of Prince Albert.
Bear was taken to Victoria Hospital, where he later died.
The death is being investigated as a homicide, and authorities do not believe the shooting was a random act.
