Three high school students taking pictures for a photography class got more than they bargained for when they made a disturbing discovery.

The three were snapping shots of an old barn off Highway 16 outside Saskatoon when they found the body of a man.

Payton Ostrom says she and her two friends were walking toward the rundown building to take pictures inside when they saw something suspicious.

She says they ran to her car and drove up to the barn door to get another look.

"We drove up to it with my car, so we could see it, and then we honked to see if it was moving or breathing ... and nothing happened," Ostrom said.

"It was kind of freaky."

The three students from Evan Hardy Collegiate then called police.

RCMP say the death isn't suspicious and weather was a factor.

They say the 60-year-old man was last seen by police in mid-March and had not been reported missing. He was known to police as a Saskatchewan resident with no fixed address.
