Saskatoon police street gang officers are investigating after two men were stabbed Saturday afternoon.

Officers were called to a disturbance at a home in the 800 block of Avenue I South around 2 p.m. Reports indicate three men entered the home while a resident was there, police said in a media release.

Two men, a 37-year-old and a 20-year-old, were taken to hospital with what police believe are non-life-threatening stab wounds.

The younger man “suffered a number of stab wounds,” police said. He will likely be charged with weapons-related offences.

A 36-year-old woman, who is a resident of the home, was also taken into custody. She, too, will likely face weapons charges.

Investigators do not yet know the motive behind the incident, but they do not consider the act random.
