The Saskatchewan SPCA is looking for help in caring for dozens of animals seized last month in Elrose.

More than 70 animals were taken from Dolores LaPlante's shelter. The SPCA had received complaints about the unsanitary conditions the animals were living in.

LaPlante is currently appealing a court ruling that prohibits the return of the pets to her home. In the meantime, the animals are being cared for at the SPCA -- something officials at the shelter say is becoming costly.

If you'd like to help, cash donations as well as cat litter, cat food and other pet supplies are being accepted by the Saskatchewan SPCA.
