Police are looking for at least five people after a shotgun blast was fired through the door of a suite in Saskatoon.

Investigators say several people confronted a 29-year-old man at an apartment on the 300 block of Avenue R South Monday evening.

He didn't let them in and slammed the door, but seconds later, a blast was levelled at the door that resulted in pellets penetrating the suite.

The shooting was the second in the city in less than 24 hours. Police were called to the 1000 block of Patrick Crescent in the city's Willowgrove neighbourhood around 7:45 a.m. Monday.

A man with a firearm reportedly shot at a building before fleeing the scene in a white SUV.

No one was hurt in either incident and police don't believe either act was random.
