Second kidnapping suspect arrested in Prince Albert

Kevin Brian Henderson, 30, of Prince Albert and Shantel Laureen Mike of the Beardy's First Nation are wanted on charges of attempted murder, aggravated assault, kidnapping, robbery and theft of a vehicle.

A man wanted by police for attempted murder and kidnapping was arrested in Prince Albert early Saturday.

Kevin Brian Henderson, 30, was at-large after Waskesiu RCMP issued a warrant for his arrest for his involvement in an alleged kidnapping of a 66-year-old Marina Henderson from Montreal Lake First Nation.

Friday police confirmed that an account matching Henderson’s name and characteristics was active on Facebook. Henderson is charged with kidnapping, attempted murder, aggravated assault, theft of a vehicle, and robbery.

Henderson, who spent the weekend in RCMP custody, was scheduled to appear Monday morning in Prince Albert provincail court.

Another suspect in the alleged abduction, Shantel Mike, was arrested on Wednesday for her involvement. Mike is charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault, kidnapping, robbery, and stealing a vehicle.
