A Pelican Narrows man is facing a second-degree murder charge in connection to the stabbing death of a 21-year-old man last month, RCMP say.

The 22-year-old accused was arrested Friday in relation to the homicide.

Police say officers received a call Feb. 12 about an injured person at a home in the northeastern Saskatchewan community. A man with stab wounds, who’s since been identified as Cecil Dorion, was rushed to the Pelican Narrows health centre, where he was pronounced dead.

The accused appeared in Prince Albert Provincial Court on Monday and his next appearance is set for April 19 in Pelican Narrows.
