SaskTel Centre security plans will be discussed for the next Rush game, after a man ran onto the floor during a playoff game on Saturday, the arena’s CEO says.

During the last quarter of the National Lacrosse League West Division final game on May 20, a man climbed over the glass and walked around the floor for nearly 15 seconds before security and SaskTel Centre employees dragged the man from the floor.

SaskTel Centre tweeted that the man would be banned from all events in the arena, but SaskTel Centre CEO Will Lofdahl did not expand on details on Tuesday. He said he plans on contacting the man.

“The fan climbed a 14-foot plexiglass wall to get out on the field. He fell 14 feet onto the field. He could have been hurt. He could have hurt some of the players. There are a number of challenges that could have taken place had things gone differently,” Lofdahl said.

The next home Rush game will be June 10 when Saskatchewan hosts the Georgia Swarm in game two of the NLL final.
