A 40-year-old Saskatoon woman is dead after two pedestrians were struck by a semi in the city's Westview neighbourhood.
The collision occurred around 10:30 p.m. Tuesday on the 100 block of Davidson Crescent.
One woman who was hit by the semi was pronounced dead at the scene. A 31-year-old woman was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police are still investigating but say the pair, along with a third woman, were involved in an altercation with the semi’s driver, outside of the truck.
He drove away from the scene but was later found by officers. He has since been interviewed by police and released.
The third woman, a 27-year-old, was not hit by the semi.
No names have been released at this time.
