Ink Addiction Tattoos has a new gumball-like machine at the front of its shop with a sign that reads, “Get Whatcha Get.”

The machine is filled with small custom drawings. People can pay $100 to turn the dial, but whatever drawing comes out will be permanently inked on their body.

“We’ve seen some of our friends doing this in some bigger centres like Toronto and Vancouver, so we thought we’d give it a try here,” Jody Spychaj, owner of Ink Addiction Tattoos, said.

Spychaj said the machine reverses the artist and client roles.

“There’s a lot of stuff we’d like to tattoo that we don’t always get a chance to, so this is a really fun way for us to tattoo stuff that we’ve already drawn and want to tattoo on people,” Spychaj said.

Since opening the machine on Saturday, the shop has done more than 30 of the “Get Whatcha Get” tattoos.
