Saskatoon Police Service issued two hefty speeding tickets over the May long weekend.

A motorist received a $717 ticket Monday after they were caught driving 153 km/h in a 60 km/h zone at Claypool Drive and McClocklin Road, police said.

The day prior, police issued a $572 ticket to a driver going 138 km/h in a 50 km/h zone on Eighth Street East.

Police are reminding drivers to slow their speed as the weather gets warmer.
