Saskatoon police have determined a suspicious package found in a passenger’s luggage at the John G. Diefenbaker Airport was an alarm clock.

Officers were called to the airport around 9:20 a.m. Sunday after security found an electronic item that appeared suspicious. Police say it was found in a passenger’s luggage while going through pre-board screening.

Members of the Explosive Disposal and K9 Units were on scene for part of the day. An investigation revealed the item was an alarm clock. The scene was cleared around 12:30 p.m.
