The Saskatoon Fire Department responded to a house fire that is estimated to cost $450,000 in damages.

Multiple calls were received about the fire on 131 Wickenden Crescent Sunday night.

When crews arrived, they found the attic was caught on fire.

The fire was controlled after water was sprayed into the attic space.

Crews say a firefighter used a chain saw to cut a hole in the roof and the water stream from the aerial was used to extinguish the remaining fire.

The fire was under control in 40 minutes.

No one was injured.

The fire investigator has concluded that the cause was accidental.
