A Saskatoon cab driver stabbed in the face and hands has been released from hospital.

The driver is recovering at home, according to a representative from Comfort Cab.

The 42-year-old was stabbed and robbed Sunday evening on the 200 block of Avenue K South.

Saskatoon police say the suspect left on foot.

Officers do not have a description of the suspect.

Comfort Cab is collecting money for the driver. The company’s management is planning to match donations.
