A Saskatchewan man charged following the death of a three-year-old boy has been granted bail.

Shane Paschke, 33, was charged earlier this month with second degree murder in the death of Roudy Bourque.

The three-year-old died last December near Garrick, Sask. A coroner's report revealed the cause of death as blunt force trauma to the head.

Paschke made an appearance Tuesday at the Court of Queen's Bench in Prince Albert, where it was determined he could be released on bail. His conditions include no contact with children under the age of 16 unless supervised.

Paschke was living with Bourque's mother until his arrest on Dec. 7. His next court appearance is Jan. 16 in Melfort.
