The first phase of a new city center plan for Saskatoon has received an award from the premier.
The plan looks at the public spaces downtown, with ideas on how to make them more pedestrian friendly. It's called the Public Spaces, Activity, and Urban Form Strategic Framework, and it won the Award of Excellence in the community planning category, at the Premier's Awards of Excellence in Design.
This new city center plan has become the foundation for future developments in Saskatoon's downtown.
