Const. Aiden Pratchett has been found guilty of child pornography offences.

Pratchett was an RCMP constable in Fon-du-Lac when the Internet Child Exploitation Unit (ICE Unit) tracked a pornographic image of a young girl to an RCMP compound where he was living.

An officer testified in court that he found illegal images on a seized computer, and the images had been viewed by the computer's owner.

Pratchett’s lawyer, Mark Brayford said there could be many reasons for the files on the computer, including viruses. He also emphasized that Pratchett swore under oath that he never downloaded or possessed child porn.

Pratchett was charged in December of 2014, and has been suspended without pay since March 2015.

Sentencing has been set for Mar. 4.
