Alberta RCMP are seeking the public's assistance in locating a suspect now wanted on a Canada-wide warrant.
Trevor Norman John Legge is considered armed, and may be in possession of high powered weapons He is a potential danger to community safety. Legge is 29 years old, 6’0”, and 175 pounds.
Earlier this week, RCMP in Whitecourt, Alberta, received a call reporting suspicious activity near a rural road. Police discovered what they believe to be Legge’s makeshift camp. Officers found three trailers, and confirmed two of them were stolen.
Legge was stopped for a traffic violation near Whitecourt. When officers approached the vehicle, the driver attempted to run over the officers, then drove off. The Jeep then drove into a tree, and the driver fled on foot. Police searched for the suspect with no success.
Legge are facing at least 13 charges and more are pending. Public are reminded not to approach Legge as he is considered dangerous. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call police or Crime Stoppers.
