Saskatchewan RCMP handed out hundreds of tickets over the Thanksgiving weekend. It was part of a safety blitz aimed at unsafe drivers.
858 tickets were handed out altogether. 191 of those charges were for seatbelt infractions, just over 200 drivers were ticketed for speeding, and 94 speeders were in a construction zone.
In Saskatoon, police laid a total of 384 charges for aggressive driving, 33 tickets were written for seatbelt infractions, and 17 were handed out for cell phone violations.
