Seven people are facing charges after two separate investigations last week led police in Saskatoon to seize 1,400 fentanyl pills, $70,000 in cash, handguns, meth and crack cocaine.

Six of the seven were charged after a Saskatoon police drug unit conducted several high-risk arrests and a search warrant Sept. 29. The seventh was arrested the next day by a combined special forces unit made up of RCMP officers and police from Prince Albert, Regina and Saskatoon.

Seven handguns, one silencer, $70,000 in cash, 1,400 fentanyl pills, 700 grams of methamphetamine and 520 grams of crack cocaine were seized.

Charges include firearms offences as well as possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession of the proceeds of crime.
