Police are investigating two attempted armed robberies in Saskatoon.

At 12:30 a.m. Monday, a man brandishing a knife demanded money at a restaurant in the 1200 block of Idylwyld Drive North.

Thirty minutes later, police responded to a similar attempted armed robbery at a restaurant in the 100 block of Primrose Drive.

In both incidents, the restaurant employee retreated to the rear of the building and the suspect fled the scene without any money.

No one was injured in either incident.

The suspect in both incidents is described as male, five-foot-seven, and was wearing a dark toque with a neck warmer over his face. In the first incident, the suspect is described as wearing his hair in a long braid and escaping in a white car driven by another person.
