Police are searching for video footage as a fire investigator continues looking into a weekend blaze that left a home destroyed.

Saskatoon fire crews were called to the home, on the 300 block of Coppermine Crescent, at about 5:30 a.m. Sunday. The house was engulfed in flames, with fire shooting through the roof when crews arrived.

Firefighters needed a half hour to control the blaze.

No one was home at the time and damage is estimated at more than $400,000.

Police said in a media release the investigator is requesting anyone with video footage of the fire to call the Saskatoon Police Service at 306-975-8300.
