A Saskatoon man is in hospital after he was beaten and stabbed Tuesday night.

The attack happened just before midnight in the back lane of the 1600 block of Avenue B North. Police say a man was being assaulted by two other men with a bat.

The 40-year-old man was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries, including stab wounds to the leg.

The suspects are described as East Indian men in their twenties. They fled the scene in a red, two door hatchback cars.

Police are continuing to investigate.
