Saskatoon police are hoping a surveillance photo leads investigators to the man suspected in the city’s latest homicide.

Police released the image of the suspect Thursday afternoon, asking for public help in identifying the man.

The suspect, wearing dark clothing and a ball cap, was last seen running south on Avenue D from 19th Street, police said.

He’s suspected in the June 18 death of a 24-year-old man. The victim died in hospital after police responded to reports of an injured man in the 300 block Avenue E South. An autopsy confirmed the death to be a homicide.

His name has yet to be released.

Anyone with information on the incident or the suspect’s identity is asked to call police at 306-975-8300 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
