Saskatoon police are searching for a man after an armed robbery on Friday evening.

Police were called to a business in the 400 block of 33rd Street West around 8:30 p.m. According to police, a man with his face covered entered the business with a metal bar weapon. He broke into the till and stole an unknown amount of cash before trying to rob a customer, police said in a news release. The robbery of the customer was unsuccessful, but the customer suffered non-life threatening injuries. He was taken to hospital for treatment. The suspect left the business on foot.

Police say members of the canine unit tried to track the man, but were unsuccessful.

The suspect is described as around 6’ tall with a slender build and dark complexion, in his late teens or early 20s. He was wearing a brown work-style jacket.
