Saskatoon police are investigating an early morning armed robbery.

Police were called to a business on the 800 block of Central Avenue around 1:30 a.m. Friday. A lone suspect entered the business armed with a handgun, police said in a media release. He demanded cash before fleeing on foot with an undetermined amount of money.

No one was injured in the incident.

Police and a canine unit were unable to track the suspect.

He is described as a six-foot-two male with a medium build. He was wearing all black, including a black scarf or mask over his face.

Police did not state his age.
