A semi-truck and trailer has been destroyed after a grass fire on Thursday.

Firefighters from Saskatoon were called to the grass fire west of the city, in the area of Highway 14 and Range Road 3072, at 11:40 p.m.

When they arrived, they found the semi-truck and trailer also burning.

Crews contained the grass fire before turning their attention to the truck fire. They managed to put out the fire a little over an hour later.

No one was injured as a result of the blaze, but the truck and trailer are considered a total loss.

RCMP were called to the scene to investigate.

Aaron Suek, who lives nearby, says he reported the fire to emergency crews. He captured video of the blaze Thursday night before shooting drone footage of the aftermath Friday morning.
