The Saskatoon Police Service arrested a 28-year-old man after he attempted to evade officers early Monday morning.
Police spotted a suspicious vehicle just after 2 a.m. in the 500 block of Avenue F South. An officer attempted to stop the car as the registered owner was a suspended driver.
Police say the driver failed to pull over and a car chase ensued. Officers pursued the man with help from the Air Support Unit and a K9 officer. The suspect ended up parking the car and attempting to flee on foot. Police were able to locate the man with help from Air Support and arrested him a short distance later near 26th Street and Avenue D North.
The man will appear in court Monday. He is charged with evading police, dangerous driving, driving while disqualified, and failing to comply with a conditional sentence order amongst other numerous warrants.
