A 16-year-old boy is in custody after he was allegedly caught on the streets of Saskatoon with a sawed-off rifle.

An officer spotted the teen on a bike around 2:30 p.m. on Thursday in the 200 block of Avenue C North.

The officer stopped the teen, and reportedly found a sawed-off rifle, and a large knife. Police say the teen was also wanted on an unrelated outstanding warrant.

The teen is set to appear in court on Friday on several weapons related charges, as well as breach of probation.
